RENTAL / LOCATIONS

Ski or snowboard hire for 1 day costs CHF 45. You also have the option of renting ski or snowboard boots if you don’t have your own. These cost CHF 19 for 1 day. We recommend that you book your ski or snowboard equipment online in advance.

No, we don’t have different price categories. We only hire premium skis and snowboards from Head, Völkl, Molitor and Goodboards and offer the most favourable rates. We recommend that you book your skis or snowboard equipment online in advance.

We hire skis, snowboards and other winter sports equipment in Andermatt in our shop at Piazza Gottardo and in the shop directly at the Gemsstock cable car valley station. We recommend that you book your winter sports equipment online in advance.

Skis and snowboards can be rented, returned or exchanged at Imholz Sport Piazza Gottardo as well as at Imholz Sport Gemsstockbahn.

Cross-country ski hire for 1 day costs CHF 40, including cross-country skis, boots and poles. We recommend that you book your cross-country skiing equipment online in advance.

You will find everything you need for cross-country skiing at The Nordic House Andermatt. We recommend booking your cross-country skiing equipment online in advance.

You can hire sledges from our store at Piazza Gottardo. We recommend reserving the sledges online in advance.

The prices for renting an e-mountain bike or e-fat bike start at CHF 45 for 1 hour, CHF 75 for up to 3 hours and CHF 99 for 1 day. We recommend reserving the bikes in advance online.

It is possible to return your bike to a different location on request. Please send us an email and we will make you an individual offer.

In cooperation with Bikewelt Gisler, we rent out road bikes and gravel bikes at our store Piazza Gottardo. In order to get your desired bike in the right frame size, we recommend that you reserve your rental equipment in advance: Online Reservation

We rent out via ferrata sets at Imholz Sport at Piazza Gottardo in Andermatt. In addition to the via ferrata set, you will also need a climbing harness and a helmet. You can also hire this from us. We recommend booking the material in advance with our online reservation .

No, we do not charge cancellation fees. However, please let us know if you no longer need your reservation so that we can release the equipment again. Payment for the rental equipment is always made on site in our store, you do not have to make a prepayment for online reservations.

SERVICES

A professional ski service increases your safety on the slopes. Sharp edges give you more grip and control on hard or icy slopes. A structured and properly waxed base ensures more skiing pleasure.

We offer you various options depending on the work involved. From a mini service for CHF 30 to a small service for CHF 49 or a large service for CHF 69. You can find details here.

We offer you various options depending on the work involved. From the Mini Service for 30.- CHF, to the Small Service for 49.- CHF or the Large Service for 79.- CHF. You can find details here.

We offer you various options depending on the work involved. The Standard waxing service starts at CHF 10, followed by the Pro waxing service for CHF 20 or the Large service for CHF 50. You can find details here.

Together with our partner Bikewelt Gisler, we offer bike repairs in our store at Piazza Gottardo.
With our large stock of Shimano spare parts, we can fix many problems immediately.

During the summer season, thanks to our partner Bikewelt Gisler, we are able to offer a bike service directly in Andermatt. For a bike service, please make an appointment with us in advance by telephone +41 41 888 70 60.

We also offer boot fitting in our store in Piazza Gottardo. To make sure we have enough time for you, it’s best to make an appointment with us in advance: +41 41 888 70 60.

SUMMER SPORTS

The summer season usually runs from mid-June to mid-October. The following cable cars are in operation in summer:

  • Andermatt – Gütsch
  • Oberalppass – Schneehüenerstock
  • Sedrun – Cuolm da Vi
  • Disentis – Caischavedra – Gendusas

Gemsstock cable car is not open in summertime.

The via ferrata is only open during the summer season, usually from mid-May to mid-October. For current information contact the Andermatt holiday region.

Yes, this is possible, but there are only a limited number of places. A reservation is therefore essential. This can be requested until 4 pm the evening before by calling+41848818818 or by email info@postauto.ch.
In the summer months, the Postbuses travel to the Gotthard, Furka, Grimsel, Nufenen and Susten pass, as well as to the Göscheneralp.

There are regular bus connections in Andermatt in winter. You can easily get from our store at Piazza Gottardo to the train station and the gondola lift to Nätschen / Gütsch or to the Gemsstockbahn, as well as to The Nordic House. You can find the current bus timetable here.
